Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, I’m a passionate young creative with a strong interest in event technologies and technical production within the music and theatre industry.
My journey began at 9 years old with early exposure to robotics, programming (Python, Java, Node.js), game & digital design, and so much more. This was where I had my core foundation and knowledge within technologal aspects at a young age. In 2021, I joined Ormiston Junior College (OJC), where I developed and showcased my skills in video post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to one of the teachers there, which after I quickly gained recognition, leading to my role as the school’s student videographer and editor from 2021 to 2022 (Years 9–10), and being the recipient for the Innovation & Technology Award for the Albert-Eden Youth Awards in 2021.
During that time, I also immersed myself in the technical aspects of theatre production. I started as the Lighting Operator for Shrek the Musical Jr. in 2021 and, year by year, expanded my skills across various production roles — from lighting programming, to front-of-house coordination. In 2025, I was proud to take on the role of Technical Director for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which turned out to be a huge success.
As a result of my voluntary commitment and growth within Lighting in 2021 - 2023, I was employed by Auckland Live (Tātaki Auckland Unlimited), to join their Technical team as a Casual Lighting Technician, for their venues; Bruce Mason Centre, The Civic, Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, Queens Wharf and Viaduct Events Centre at the beginning of 2023.
After graduating to Ormiston Senior College (started in 2023), I was invited back to OJC as a staff member, working as a Technical and Learning Assistant supporting the school’s design and technology learning areas and facilities. With this role, I also coordinate media and sports photography opportunities for passionate learners who are keen to also expose themselves to the media world.
Additionally, in a voluntary role to build my leadership and management skills, I took on the responsibility of managing and coaching the school’s Badminton Teams and coordinating Social Badminton initiatives for all students at Ormiston Junior College. When I was a student, Badminton was a relatively small sport, but since stepping into this role, interest has grown significantly — from 80 trialists in 2024 to over 165 in 2025, and from 90 to more than 200 learners participating in Social Badminton, in just one year.
For me, it’s never just about experience or income — it’s about offering meaningful, exciting opportunities for younger students that didn’t exist when I was in their place. Seeing how much the sport has grown and how engaged the students are through the initiatives I lead is incredibly rewarding — just as I would have appreciated those opportunities myself.
I enjoy working alongside others who share similar interests and take pride in mentoring those eager to grow in these creative and technical fields.
